Opening remarks:
--winter losses. How have your bees fared? Let us know what kind of loss you sustained over this long winter.
--Julia McGuire. Julia will tell us about a grant she applied
for and was awarded. It is a Farmer Ranch Grant, from a program
of North Central Sustainable Agriculture Research and
Education. The outcome will be a monthly field guide planner,
with the goal of improving honey production and native foraging
habitat. Julia will invite participation in the project.
--Ed St. John. Ed will talk about early spring management, including feeding, hive manipulation, and how to assess the strength and vitality of your hive coming out of winter.
